What is happening on Saturdays???

 

DEAF RIDE 4 SEAT BIKE FOR FREE THROUGH CITY PARK every 2nd SATURDAY!!!

Come join us every 2nd Saturday of the month at City Park to ride a 4 seat bike (called a surrey) for FREE and then stop at the Morning Call and to chat and drink coffee or a beverage and donuts for FREE!!!! YES, I said FREE!!! If you cannot pedal yourself, that is okay 'cuz every bike has 4 riders and the other riders can pedal for you so you can sit and enjoy!!! Register now to attend. You only need to register 1 time to attend the whole year... and did I say it is YES it is FREE for all who participate!!! REGISTER HERE NOW!!!

We also have gatherings to provide the following

Providing free classes, training and

advocacy for the Deaf community,

their families, those serving the Deaf,

for local churches' deaf ministries.

Providing free training and internship to interpreters and those wanting to serve in the Deaf community: We work alongside students from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Tulane, University of New Orleans, Xavier, Delgado and other educational institutes. 

Providing workshops for the local community, local churches, the Deaf and their families.

Setting up local events for outreach to the Deaf Community in New Orleans and in the state of Louisiana ... supporting the Louisisna Baptist Conference of the Deaf, Louisiana Baptists Convention, the New Orleans Baptist Association and the SBC Cooperative Program.

Providing free services:  Interpreting, training and ministery to those who are incarcerated, institutionalized, and needing services such as access to recovery and 12 step programs. (Contact us for a list of 12 step programs that are interpreted for the Deaf.)
